Aurangabad: A City in a Country The world is a stage and its actors are humans. They seem to have their own lives, but they all have one destiny in common- death. Every human being has two lives equally long- one life in this mortal world and another immortal life in heaven. No individual is different from any other individual even with all his or her knowledge and skills. Do not be jealous of your fellow man because he might be better than you with everything at his disposal. Be happy when you see prosperity in your fellow human being because it is a proof of God's bounty. The Qur'an says: "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their wealth and their lives than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive as do the slain have deserved sharpest cogent. For them is forgiveness up to a term which they shall not be respited. And Allah is the Lord of mighty grace." (Al-Nisa, 4:95) The Qur'an also says: "O you who believe! If you would go forth in Allah's way, be careful to discriminate, and say not to him who offers you peace: "Thou art not a believer!" Coveting the perishable goods of this life. There are indeed many covetous men. But if you are patient in adversity and conscious of Allah much good will it be for you." (An-Nisa, 4:94). This book is about the life story of Aurangzeb Alamgir -the sixth Mughal Emperor in India. The book is divided into twelve chapters. Chapter one includes the brief history of the Mughal Empire in India. Chapter two includes the brief history of Lahore (Punjab). Chapter three is about Aurangzeb's family tree, tribe and birthplace. Chapter four is about information about Aurangzeb's school life in Delhi.Chapter five is about information about Aurangzeb's military life in Deccan, his bravery in battlefields and important actions done by him during his military campaigns. Chapter six describes Aurangzeb's ways to success in politics and administration during his kingship at Delhi.Chapter seven describes the method adopted by Aurangzeb for religious tolerance in India during his days as an emperor. Chapter eight is about Aurangzeb's personal life.
