What if zombies were real? What would you do to stay alive? That’s what Columbus, Tallahassee, and Wichita have to figure out as they try to find a way from the Big Apple to a rumored safe zone in the Pacific Northwest. Joined by a fourth survivor named Little Rock, who is fighting her own demons from back home, our heroes devise a series of tests – both mental and physical – along the way. Today, she’s living with her niece in New York City. Plus, her kitten is named Snickers. Wichita is not actually from Kansas but he has no problem playing one on TV. He’s an action hero who survives all manner of danger just by being himself. Then there’s Little Rock, their fearless leader. Even then, you're lucky if you're successful." This would be the first feature-length film that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick had worked on. Zombieland was originally set to be filmed in the state of New Mexico by J.C. Spink and Associates but after a change in production companies, it was moved to Vancouver, British Columbia and finished there instead. It was picked up by Sony Pictures for distribution on September 16, 2009.
